Army Veteran Jessica Killin Challenges Jeff Crank to Three Debates/Forums

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Today, Jessica Killin released the following statement regarding debates for Colorado’s 5th Congressional District.

Fourth-generation Coloradan and Army Veteran Jessica Killin said,

“I have committed to two debates and one forum with Jeff Crank, and I challenge him to commit to the same. El Paso County deserves to finally hear from Jeff Crank in the district, in person. From the cost of groceries and health care to rampant corruption and the challenges facing our military and veteran communities, the people of southern Colorado deserve a real discussion about the issues impacting them. Every candidate asking for the public's trust should be willing to stand before voters, answer questions, and explain how they are going to make a difference and do the job.”

Killin has committed to participating in:

• August 27th: A debate hosted by The Gazette, Colorado Politics, KOAA News, and El Pomar Foundation

• September 18th: A debate hosted by the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC

• September 20th: A candidate forum hosted by the League of Women Voters

Killin is calling on Congressman Jeff Crank to publicly commit to participating in each of these events so voters have multiple opportunities to hear directly from both candidates before Election Day.

A proud fourth-generation Coloradan, Jessica Killin’s life has been shaped by a commitment to service and a deep love for her state and country. Raised in Colorado Springs by public school educators, she learned early the values of hard work and community. After graduating from Falcon High School, Jessica earned an ROTC scholarship and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, leading soldiers as a Military Police Officer overseas.
