State of the Race: Jessica Killin’s Strong First Quarter in CO-05
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Jessica Killin’s first quarter has been full of momentum—Jessica has been on the ground engaging the community, earning important endorsements, elevating key issues in the press, and holding incumbent Jeff Crank accountable. She’s also set multiple fundraising records – the most money raised by any challenger across the country in one day this cycle and the most raised in one quarter in Colorado’s 5th Congressional District by any candidate. Read the highlights below.
In the community:
El Paso County deserves a representative who actually represents the district – is present in the community, and takes the time to address community concerns. Jessica is already bringing that type of servant leadership to the district. This quarter, Jessica has been busy attending local events, meeting with community members, and hosting meet and greets so people can meet her and be heard.
By the numbers, Jessica:
Attended 22 community events
Had 26 meetings with El Paso County community members
Hosted 5 Coffees with Killin in Downtown Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Fountain, Monument, and Stetson Hills
Welcomed 60+ people at her first meet and greet

U.S. Colorado Congressman Jason Crow
U.S. Colorado Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen
VoteVets
Colorado Springs Councilmember Nancy Henjum

Holding Jeff Crank accountable:
As Jeff Crank continues to disappoint El Paso County residents, Jessica has spoken out about what this community needs.
Jessica Killin Statement on Colorado's Special Session:
“Jeff Crank’s deciding vote not only added $4 trillion to the national debt, it also blew a $1.2 billion hole in Colorado’s budget, and Colorado lawmakers were forced to clean up his mess. Now families are paying the price—higher costs, fewer services, and insurmountable debt….all so Crank’s billionaire backers can pocket even bigger tax breaks,” said Jessica Killin.
Jessica Killin Statement on the Space Command Move:
“Jeff Crank has utterly failed to fight for Colorado. He refused to fight for Coloradans' healthcare, he refused to fight against higher prices, and now he's refused to protect Space Command and our economy.
“This is a massive loss for El Paso County and is damaging to our national security. Since the moment he was elected, Jeff Crank has put pleasing Donald Trump ahead of serving this community, and the people of El Paso County are paying the price,” said Jessica Killin.
Epstein Victim’s Family Calls on Rep. Crank to Release Files:
“Virgina Giuffre’s family and all of Epstein's victims deserve justice and the truth. If I were in Congress, I would vote to release all of the evidence and let the American people draw their own conclusions. It's shameful and disappointing that Rep. Crank can't be bothered to meet with or even respond to the families of victims he represents – he’s clearly too afraid to stand up to President Trump and do what’s right,” said Jessica Killin.
