Jessica Killin Sets New Fundraising Record in CO-05:
Raises Over $1 Million in Her First Quarter
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Today, US Army veteran and fourth generation Coloradan Jessica Killin announced that she raised over $1,000,000 in the first quarter of her campaign to represent Colorado’s 5th Congressional District. This demonstrates impressive momentum and a groundswell of local grassroots support. The majority of Jessica Killin’s donors are from Colorado. Her campaign will end this quarter with nearly $800,000 cash on hand.
This is the largest quarterly fundraising haul that any candidate for Colorado’s 5th Congressional District has ever reported. Killin’s strong first quarter in the race positions her well to defeat Republican Jeff Crank in the fastest Democratic-trending district in the country.
A proud fourth-generation Coloradan and Army veteran, Jessica Killin said,
"This groundswell of support demonstrates that El Paso County is ready for a leader who can deliver results for the district and who will put people over politics. Jeff Crank has repeatedly let us down by losing Space Command, slashing healthcare and VA services, and adding nearly $4 trillion to the debt. Congress can’t even do its job to keep our government open, and we need new responsible, courageous leadership in Washington. Our community deserves better, and I am committed to being the representative and leader our community deserves.
“I’m so appreciative of everyone who has supported this campaign by donating, signing up to volunteer, and talking to their friends and neighbors – together we WILL flip this district for the first time in its history."
