Jessica Killin Wins Democratic Primary in Colorado’s 5th Congressional District

Decisive Victory Positions Her Well to Unseat Jeff Crank

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Today, fourth-generation Coloradan and Army Veteran Jessica Killin won her primary for Colorado’s 5th Congressional District. Killin released the following statement:

“Tonight, I am honored to have earned the Democratic nomination for Colorado’s Fifth Congressional District.

“Thank you to all the voters who participated in this primary election and the many volunteers and supporters who made this victory possible. The result reflects the strength of a grassroots movement built across El Paso County and throughout our district.

“I also want to thank my fellow Democratic candidate in this race, Joe Reagan, who ran because he cares deeply about our communities. I respect and am grateful for his commitment and dedication to public service.

“We have been building a campaign that listens to people, understands the challenges facing Colorado families, veterans, and small businesses, and offers real solutions to the rising cost of living and the future of our district and country.

“Now, the stakes are clear. We move forward together to defeat Jeff Crank in November. This is not a race about right vs. left.  This is a race about right vs. wrong.

Colorado’s Fifth District deserves a representative who will put service above politics, who will fight to lower costs, restore integrity to our government, and make sure every Coloradan has the opportunity to achieve the American Dream.

“I am ready for that fight, and I am grateful to every person who has joined this campaign. The work  and the movement continue, and we are just getting started.”

2026 is the year Colorado’s 5th Congressional District will flip

With the groundswell of grassroots support and a decisive primary win, record-breaking fundraising, and polling showing Jessica is neck-and-neck with Jeff Crank, 2026 is the year that Jessica Killin will flip CO-05 and bring competence, courage, and character to El Paso County’s congressional representation.
