Trump and Crank’s A+++++ Economy is Failing American Families
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – In a recent interview, President Donald Trump gave himself an “A-plus-plus-plus-plus-plus” grade on the economy. This completely disregards the economic concerns that Americans are facing – increasing costs of housing, groceries, healthcare, utilities, and wages that aren’t keeping up.
The average Colorado family has paid more than $1,700 in higher costs from Trump's inflation and tariffs. Health insurance premiums for more than 200,000 Coloradans are weeks away from doubling, while an average 60-year-old couple in Colorado Springs receiving expanded ACA tax credits could see their premiums quadruple and be forced to pay an extra $1,800 every single month if those credits are not extended.
In the past 12 months, over one-third of adults have reported skipping or postponing needed healthcare due to the cost. The majority of Coloradans report being forced to cut spending on non-essential items in the past year. Even the price of beef has risen 15% over the past year to a record high.
A proud fourth-generation Coloradan and Army veteran, Jessica Killin said,
“Coloradans are feeling the pain and pinch of the failed Trump-Crank economy. Donald Trump and Jeff Crank’s failure to acknowledge that we have an affordability crisis in this country and in El Paso County is deeply concerning and deeply irresponsible. Jeff Crank has slashed healthcare while giving tax breaks to billionaires and adding $4 trillion to our national debt. We need change, and I’m ready to deliver that change and focus on the issues that matter to you.”
