“After moderating multiple candidate forums, hosting house parties for both candidates on the primary ballot, and many community interactions, I know without a doubt that Jessica Killin is exactly the kind of leader our district needs right now. A native Coloradan, Army veteran, and devoted mother, Jessica has spent her life in service to others, and she brings that same commitment to this race. She understands the challenges and opportunities our families face every day.
“Like me, Jessica believes in people-centered leadership and doing the hard and heart work. She is a problem-solver focused on real solutions and on meeting people where they are; that is exactly the voice we need representing us in Washington.
“Our district is ready for change. For the first time, national attention is focused on Colorado's 5th Congressional District, and we have a candidate who is more than ready for this moment. Jessica has the fundraising strength, the grassroots support, and the credibility to make history.
“I am proud to stand with Jessica Killin. It's time Colorado Springs had a representative who truly fights for us.”
Jessica Killin said, “Councilmember Kimberly Gold has been a compassionate and effective leader in El Paso County, with a deep understanding of our community’s needs and how to deliver real solutions. She recognizes that Crank has repeatedly let us down, and it’s time for responsive leadership in Washington. I am grateful for her support and look forward to working with her to better serve our community and country in the years to come.”
