Colorado Senator Michael Bennet Endorses Jessica Killin for CO’s Fifth Congressional District
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Colorado Senator Michael Bennet endorsed Jessica Killin for Colorado’s Fifth Congressional District today.
Senator Bennet has served as U.S. Senator for Colorado since 2009 and has delivered solutions for Coloradans, including passing the Child Tax Credit, which cut child poverty in half, fighting for affordable healthcare, improving our infrastructure, and lowering costs.
Senator Michael Bennet said:
“Tuesday’s elections across the country showed the American people are fed up with Donald Trump’s policies that are raising prices on everything from housing to food to health care. Coloradans have an opportunity to stop Donald Trump’s power grab and restore balance to Washington – and that starts with electing Jessica Killin to the House of Representatives.
“El Paso County deserves a leader like Jessica — someone who’s spent her life serving our country in the Army and in public service, isn’t afraid to challenge the way things are done, and will stand up to Donald Trump in Congress to get real results for Colorado.
“Flipping this seat would be a strong rebuke of Trumpian policies that take money out of Coloradans' pockets, throw our economy into chaos, and hurt working families. Jessica has my full support, and I look forward to doing everything in my power to elect her to Congress and flip the House in 2026.”
Fourth-generation Coloradan and Army Veteran Jessica Killin said, “I’m honored to receive Senator Michael Bennet’s endorsement as we work to flip Colorado’s 5th Congressional District. Senator Bennet has spent his career fighting for Colorado families—protecting our public lands and standing up for the middle class. Together, we’ll continue that fight here in the Pikes Peak region and finally lower costs for working families and stand up to stop Jeff Crank’s reckless policies that are hurting El Paso County. This race is about building a future where every family can afford to thrive, and I’m grateful to have Senator Bennet by my side in that effort.”
