PRESS RELEASE

Army Veteran Jessica Killin Wins Debate, Puts Jeff Crank on Defense

Army veteran and fourth-generation Coloradan offers voters a clear choice on costs, anti-corruption, and representation

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO Jessica Killin won tonight's debate against Jeff Crank, demonstrating the competence, courage, and character Colorado's 5th Congressional District needs in Congress.

Killin contrasted her record of service in the Army, USAA, and public service with Crank’s record as a corporate lobbyist and working for billionaires and a dark money super PAC.

Killin also laid out a plan to lower costs by ending the illegal and reckless tariffs that are driving up prices, increasing affordable housing, and repealing cuts to the ACA and Medicaid to lower costs for everyone.

Crank failed to explain his record of being the deciding vote to cut healthcare, five votes backing the Iran War that skyrocketed gas prices (even declaring when asked if he’d vote to end the war, “I’m just not going to do it”), and eight votes protecting Trump’s reckless tariffs.

Crank even lied to voters, falsely claiming that he had never voted against releasing the Epstein files – in reality, he voted twice to block their release.

Killin emphasized that she will stand up to either party to do what’s best for El Paso County, while Crank has voted with Trump 100% of the time.

Killin’s campaign manager Emily Dalgleish said, “El Paso County deserves better than the rising costs and corruption that Crank has provided. Jessica Killin has a record of service, leadership, and delivering results for the people she represents. Tonight, voters saw the clear choice between a politician who puts himself and his party before our community and a leader who is ready to fight for El Paso County. Jessica was the clear winner of tonight’s debate, showing voters the competence, courage, and character they deserve in their next representative.”
